at 2 am this morning… i was trying to figure out where exactly the snoring is coming from and my assumption of it being my ‘neighbour’ in the building next to where my apartment is, might be unwarranted… placing my ears to the wooden floors i could detect the characteristically annoying noise.
my neighbour downstairs?! the lady almost 3 times my size? whom i met at the laundry room, who seemed rather pleasant? my neighbour downstairs?!
i could tolerate noises during the day… my neighbours upstairs throw their shoes on the floor and it feels like bombs dropping down onto my head… they drag their furniture about despite warnings from the management to every tenant that the wooden floors should be well-maintained. but snoring at night is just not ON.
oh help. i really need to do something about it and not camp in the living room…
crappy. crappy. crappy.

Would earplugs help? This reminds me of my woes during my first year at grad school – I used to complain about the cellist who practised in the room right behind my bed. I suppose even that was more tolerable than what you have to go through. =(

i might have to try that as my last resort…
i did mention it to my downstairs neighbour when i got home… i was madly brave today… and of course it was real awkward… what can anyone do?!
it’s interesting though… that one could be so unconscious of ones snores (which is quite a few decibles of noise!)… i’d love to read someone’s EEG-brain signals when s/he is snoring! i wonder why no one in sleep-research has looked into it… or maybe they have and i just don’t know about it… hmm.
